I investigate organised fraud, follow the evidence, and name the people behind it.
I’m Danny de Hek, a New York Times–featured investigative journalist (print edition, by David Segal), featured in a Bloomberg documentary by Alice Kantor, quoted by The Guardian Australia in coverage by Sarah Martin, and recently featured by Coffeezilla for helping expose the Goliath Ventures $328 million Ponzi scheme.
I use open-source intelligence (OSINT) to expose scams, Ponzi schemes, and MLM frauds — naming and shaming the bad actors behind the lies.

The BLOG is where everything connects — hundreds of detailed Scam & Fraud Investigations that don’t vanish when scammers report or censor my content elsewhere. Every post is backed by evidence — screenshots, transcripts, court documents, and blockchain data — creating a public record that can’t be erased. My PODCAST is an extension of that work. It’s distributed across 18 major platforms — including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, and iHeartRadio — so when scammers try to hide, my content follows them everywhere.
The investigations have also grown beyond the work of one person. I’m part of the Avengers Anti-Fraud Alliance (AAA) — a collaborative network bringing together investigators, researchers, whistleblowers, victims, and specialist expertise to expose organised fraud and follow the evidence wherever it leads.
Through the Avengers Anti-Fraud Alliance, information from individual victims can become part of a much bigger picture. We compare evidence, identify connections between schemes and promoters, preserve records, investigate digital footprints, and follow cryptocurrency and blockchain activity. Where appropriate, that work can help victims organise evidence that may be useful to journalists, regulators, law enforcement, exchanges, or other authorities.
I collaborate with whistleblowers, regulators, journalists, victims, and private companies that need real intelligence — not PR spin. My investigations are built around evidence: corporate filings, court records, domain data, blockchain records, contracts, communications, and the digital footprints scammers can’t easily hide.
“I’ve taken it upon myself to fight back — exposing fraudsters, confronting scammers, and making sure their lies don’t go unchecked.”
Everything I do here is about turning exposure into prevention — helping victims, informing the public, and making it harder for bad actors to hide.

You do not have to pay me to report a scam or tell me your story. If you’ve lost money, have insider information, or hold contracts, screenshots, emails, recordings, or other evidence that could assist an investigation, you can send it through CONTACT. I review information as time permits, and you can ask for your identity to remain confidential.
If cryptocurrency has been moved and you need specialist blockchain tracing, CRYPTO FORENSICS is also available through CryptoG, who provides independent paid tracing and forensic reporting services.
If you prefer to learn at your own pace, explore The Scam Survival Guide Series — practical ebooks designed to help you recognise scams before they cost you.
You can also support the investigations with official NO SCAM gear from the MERCH store.
I’m available for SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS, sharing what I’ve learned as a cult survivor, dyslexia advocate, and investigative journalist — raw, unscripted, and based on real-world experience.
Southern Alps Passes
The fun of a West Coast holiday begins with a journey through the Southern Alps. A 600 km long, incredibly straight wall of mountains locks the Coast into an exclusive climate zone and eco-system. Ancient Maori greenstone (jade) trails were the only land links with the rest of New Zealand 150 years ago.
Okarito Lagoon
Be sure to visit New Zealand’s only white heron (kotuku) nesting colony. It’s a neat experience observing these magnificent birds, which are supremely graceful and elegant in all their movements. The colony of 150 white herons, royal spoonbills and little shags is found in the Waitangiroto Nature Reserve.
Shantytown
Virtually every rock-bound riverbed yields secrets of heritage gold diggings. Fossick in the loose gravels of any tumbling mountain stream on the Coast and you have a good prospect of winning a small ‘colour’. Visitors to the West Coast can have a personal experience of the 1860’s gold rush days at Shantytown.
Greenstone (Jade)
The ‘Stone of the Gods’ was literally fashioned as the offspring of volcanoes, earthquakes and uplifted mountains. Greenstone, or ‘pounamu’ was prominent in ancient Maori mythology because of its vital importance as the medium for tool and weapon making.
White Water Rafting
Pull on a wetsuit and helmet, then launch your raft onto a fast-flowing river for the spine-tingling, heart-pounding ride of a lifetime. The wild West Coast has numerous short, steep rivers descending from the high country in the Southern Alps.
Skydiving
Freefalling at terminal velocity from a massive 19,500 feet over West Coast Glacier Country makes you feel alive in a spine-tingling, hair-raising sort of way. This is tandem skydiving at its heart thumping best. An adrenalin buzz with the added bonus of breathtaking views of the Southern Alps.
Punakaiki Pancake Rocks
Stop and marvel at the perfect pancake rock stacks, which are piled high in giant columns and battered by ocean swells. Wonder at the seismic forces that thrust these mysteries of nature up from the seabed. Punakaiki is the gateway to the dramatic limestone country of the Paparoa National Park.
Tranz Alpine Express
Riding the ‘Iron Road’ is a very romantic and exciting way to travel into West Coast Glacier Country. New Zealand’s most scenic railway line runs coast to coast from Christchurch to Greymouth, and is one of the world’s great railway journeys.
Oparara Cave
Hidden deep in the silent grottos of Oparara’s Honeycomb Caves are spellbinding limestone sculptures and slender skeletons of extinct creatures like the moa and giant eagle. But there’s still life in the darkest recesses of this alien world. A glow worm galaxy shimmers on the ceiling of the cave.
Scenic Flights
Step inside the perspex bubble of a sightseeing helicopter and rise like a phoenix into the bright shafts of sunlight falling on Glacier Country. The West Coast hills are alive with the sound of rotor blades thwacking through the crisp alpine air. And with good reason.
The Wild West Coast
Welcome to the wild and wonderful West Coast of the South Island. DANNY : DE HEK has highlighted a number of ‘must see’ attractions to assist you in planning a great holiday in this fascinating part of the country.

The majestic St Mary Range receives big dumps of wind-packed powder snow in southerly storms. The Waitaki Ski Club have capitalised on this by setting up the Awakino ski field on these hallowed slopes, high above the Waitaki River hydro lakes in North Otago.
Mt Potts
A uniquely different ski field is set amongst the high peaks of a sheep station near the Rangitata Gorge in Canterbury. Mt Potts Backcountry ski field and lodge offers superb skiing and snowboarding on virgin powder slopes that can only be accessed by helicopter and snow cat.
Fox Peak
The mountains of South Canterbury are home to a large ski field with a distinguished pedigree, and a rapidly growing fan club. Fox Peak Ski Club has the distinction of being one of the oldest clubs in New Zealand. It originated in the 1920’s as the Tasman Ski Club based at Mt Cook
Mt Dobson
High in the Two Thumb Range, 30 minutes drive from Fairlie, is a family owned and operated commercial field that becomes more popular with every season. Mt Dobson has well groomed slopes for novices and intermediates, and soft, smooth powder up to 2,046 metres to challenge the die-hard powder-pumpers.
Mt Cheeseman
Watch the sunrise from your room, enjoy breakfast, clip on your skis and head for the lifts. Mt Cheeseman has to be the ultimate in user-friendly club fields. You can start the day in this way at the Snowline Lodge. Ski holiday packages include bed, 3 meals, lift pass and lessons at a reasonable daily tariff. Guests assist staff with light duties.
