Nelson club is situated on Boult Road at Tahunanui and is built on a sandy base, which provides rapid draining after rain. The Tahunanui links, as the locals call it, is a 6,323 metres, par 72 course, which has narrow undulating fairways and moderately fast greens. It overlooks Tasman Bay and has great views of the surrounding mountains. Nelson Airport is close to the course.
Greenacres club is a little further out of Nelson at Best Island, Richmond. It is notable for its beautiful scenery and pleasant, uncrowded atmosphere.
Tasman club is at Kina Beach, half-an-hour’s drive out of Nelson. The course has wonderful sea and mountain views and is relatively easy to play at 4,818 metres, par 66. The steep contours make it quite an interesting challenge and above all it is an enjoyable day out in such a relaxed country atmosphere and the green fees are extremely modest.
