DANNY DE HEK Entrepreneur Decision Maker Connector Podcaster EducatorJoin me, Danny de Hek, as I share the nerve-wracking account of a road rage incident that unfolded on Main North Road.

In this gripping YouTube video, I recount my firsthand experience during a merging situation after crossing Cranford Street, which quickly escalated due to the actions of a white BMW driver who failed to merge properly, disregarding the “zipper” method commonly used for smoother traffic flow. 😱🚗

The incident happened five days ago. I still have not had any word from the police however if you know this 2008 BMW Driver (license plate MNJ98) and you have any information I will be most grateful please contact me via my website dehek.com

I drove past the BMW initially without any incident, I had no idea what was about to unfold. 😡🚙

Multiple vehicles were merging together all heading south on Main North Road after crossing over the Cranford Road intersection, the BMW driver aggressively pushed their way into traffic, then deliberately collided with my Suzuki Swift Sport. Astonishingly, the BMW driver went a step further, overtaking and blocking the road, even opening my car door, escalating the situation to alarming levels. 🤬🤯

The presence of a scooter on the bus lane added an additional element of complexity to an already chaotic scene. Recognizing the need for assistance, I promptly phoned the police for help, hoping their intervention would diffuse the mounting tension. 📞🚔

However, the BMW driver continued to block the road and even exited their vehicle, further fueling the already volatile situation. To draw attention and seek assistance, I resorted to tooting my horn as I passed Fitness New Zealand, navigating down Papanui Rd at 40km with the BMW driver tailgating closely. 😤🚧

Even at a red light, the BMW driver’s aggression persisted as they got out of their vehicle. The intersection at Heaton Street witnessed further confrontations, and the tension remained high at the Heaton Street and Strathaven Road intersection. ⚠️🤬

My journey continued onto Normans Road and through backstreets, with the BMW driver relentless in their pursuit. Finally, as I made my way back onto Papanui Rd, heading to Papanui Police Station, the incident took a shocking turn when the BMW driver smashed the back window of my Suzuki Swift Sport on Papanui Rd while I was turning into Frank Street. 😱🔨

The video concludes as I arrive at the Police Station, highlighting the importance of reporting such incidents for the safety of all road users. 🚓🛡️
