This connection holds a special place in our hearts, stemming from the historic ascent of Mt. Everest in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. This monumental achievement forged a lasting friendship, and New Zealand continues to support Nepal through annual contributions to the Himalayan Trust and the Sir Edmund Hillary Fellowship.
