Warning: This blog contains serious defamatory allegations made against the author by Philippe Bednarek.

If you want a masterclass in corporate meltdown, look no further than Philippe Bednarek, President and Co-Founder of StepChain — a so-called “responsible fitness app” that rewards users with a worthless cryptocurrency token. Sounds shady? It gets worse.

Last night, I received a series of unsolicited phone calls from Bednarek himself. I finally answered. What followed was an unhinged, defamatory tirade that included ageism, mockery of my dyslexia, attacks on my profession, and worst of all — a false, unsubstantiated accusation that I am a child molester.

Watch the call for yourself — the full video is embedded above. Notable timestamps include:

  • 02:05 – Bednarek falsely says: “Child molester. You’re a child molester. I have proof and evidence.”
  • 04:37 – Doubles down: “I don’t listen to a child molester.”
  • 05:21 – Further slander: “I bet you’ve been fiddling with kids. You’re a kiddie fiddler, aren’t you?”
  • 08:04 – Confirming defamation: “You called me a child molester.” / Bednarek: “Yes.”

That’s not just slander — it’s a desperate attempt to discredit someone for asking too many questions about his business. And those questions? They’re long overdue.

Who Is Philippe Bednarek?

According to StepChain’s own published material:

  • President and Co-Founder of StepChain.
  • Co-founder of the Atlas Group of Companies (1994).
  • CEO of GoldFinX, a fintech outfit that ran an ICO to raise money for gold mines.
  • Claims a Post Grad Diploma in Public Law, a Master’s in Business Law, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science.

This man has positioned himself as a financial heavyweight with a tech-savvy vision. But in reality, he’s more interested in propping up criminals and defaming his critics than answering tough questions about his company’s sketchy commission structure.

What Triggered the Meltdown?

I publicly exposed Rory Conacher, a known Hyperverse shill and serial Ponzi promoter, who has rebranded himself as the smiling face of StepChain. Rather than addressing these concerns professionally, Bednarek chose to call me up and unspool a barrage of insults, culminating in a criminal accusation with zero evidence.

Here’s the problem: Rory Conacher has a public history of fraud. He’s been the front man for HyperVerse, made up a lawsuit to silence critics, and has scammed his own friends and family. And who supports him now?

Philippe Bednarek.

So instead of distancing himself from Conacher, he deflects by mocking my age, career, religion, and accusing me of crimes.

That’s the calibre of leadership guiding StepChain straight into a PR disaster.

This Isn’t Just About Me

This is about how StepChain — a company that claims to be a “responsible fitness app” — handles criticism, whistleblowers, and legitimate journalistic inquiry. Here’s what went down in that call:

  • Philippe mocked me for being a window cleaner, despite it being an honest, physical job.
  • He insulted my age and claimed I “act like a teenager.”
  • He mocked my dyslexia after I mispronounced his surname.
  • He accused me of being a child molester — multiple times — with no evidence.
  • He implied that my former religion made me suspect.
  • I said “You used to be an elder in the Jehovah’s Witnesses — I bet you’re the one who’s been fiddling with kids.”
  • He admitted to no wrongdoing on Rory Conacher’s part and defended his involvement.

It’s textbook deflection and gaslighting, and it was all caught on camera.

Who’s Protecting Philippe?

Let’s not forget the other executives who haven’t (yet) denounced this behaviour:

  • Jean-Michel Alfieri – CEO and Co-Founder
  • Alexandre Rigaud – Chief Blockchain Officer and Co-Founder
  • Layal El Hage – Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
  • Edouard Coutand – Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Charbel Hage – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

If these individuals stand by Philippe Bednarek after this, they’re complicit too. Silence is endorsement.

My Promise to You

I will not be silenced by threats, defamation, or intimidation tactics. The video is live, the transcript is documented, and I will be seeking legal advice on defamation proceedings.

If you’ve been defamed, harassed, or intimidated by Philippe Bednarek or StepChain associates, get in touch. Your story might help protect others.

Philippe: You rang me ten times in a day and left your reputation in ruins — not mine. The world is watching now.
