Christopher Porras, a self-styled “young entrepreneur” from Miami, Florida, presents himself online as a rising star in business. Branding himself “BossInMiami,” Porras claims to empower others to build financial freedom.
But behind the polished LinkedIn profiles, YouTube videos, and Zoom meetings lies a starkly different reality: Christopher Porras is actively recruiting victims into a classic pyramid scheme called VYB.
Who is Christopher Porras?
Christopher Porras uses multiple social media platforms to build credibility. On LinkedIn, he describes himself as the “VYB Founder (IBO)” and the CEO of RichesMadeRecords. His Linktree showcases Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and YouTube links, all tied to recruiting for VYB. He runs personal Zoom Meetings, funneling prospects into paid membership tiers with promises of easy wealth, personal growth, and community.
What is VYB?
Christopher describes VYB as a “business ecosystem” that offers education, branding tools, mentorship, and even its own digital currency called V-Bucks. The reality is much simpler and much darker: VYB is a 3×10 forced matrix pyramid scheme. Income isn’t generated through selling valuable services or products; it’s earned primarily by recruiting new paying members. Without a constant influx of fresh recruits, the entire system collapses.
Members are encouraged to purchase expensive “legend” membership packages ($25 to $249) and to bring in others to do the same. Products like “education,” “networking opportunities,” and “personal branding” are superficial at best, serving only as cover to mask the recruitment-driven income model.
Deceptive Tactics Used by Christopher Porras
Porras’s entire marketing strategy revolves around emotional manipulation and misinformation:
- Emotional Storytelling: Christopher shares personal struggles to build relatability but pivots quickly to how VYB ‘saved’ him.
- Fantasy Earnings: He falsely claims that people can match checks worth “$20 million” just by recruiting a few friends.
- Urgency and Hype: He urges viewers to “start free today” and “join millions, if not billions” in the movement—blatantly inflating numbers.
- Worthless Currency: V-Bucks, the supposed digital currency of VYB, has no proven liquidity outside the platform and functions as an internal trap.
- Faith-Based Targeting: By branding VYB as a “faith-based academy,” he appeals to religious audiences in a bid for blind trust.
- Empty Comparisons: He compares VYB to TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter, falsely claiming VYB offers superior networking and monetization.
- Hidden Costs: Memberships require ongoing payments, and real earnings are only possible by recruiting others into the same debt cycle.
Inside Christopher’s Zoom Meetings and YouTube Videos
Through his Zoom meetings and YouTube channel (@VYBWithChris), Christopher pushes a misleading sales narrative, combining motivational talk with aggressive recruitment pitches. He offers packages starting at $25, promising mentorship and “business ownership” while glossing over the requirement to endlessly recruit new members to make money.
Both his Spanish and English presentations reveal identical patterns: fake success stories, exaggerated earning potential, nonexistent product value, and emotional high-pressure tactics. His explanations of the VYB matrix structure are a textbook example of a Ponzi compensation plan disguised as “community building.”
Christopher Porras Enters the Live Stream
On April 26, 2025, while restreaming a VYB Zoom meeting hosted by Megan Lynch, Christopher Porras entered the live chat on my broadcast. Initially, he claimed to be a young, new recruit who was trying to understand why we were criticizing VYB. He requested a private, off-camera “man-to-man” conversation via WhatsApp, stating that he had questions about what was being said. Throughout the live session, viewers engaged with him, encouraging an open conversation.
However, after further investigation into his social media presence, it became clear that Christopher Porras himself claims on LinkedIn to be the Founder of VYB. The full video of this interaction is embedded within this blog for transparency.
Why This Matters
Christopher Porras isn’t just selling a dream—he’s selling financial ruin. Those drawn into VYB are paying for memberships that primarily benefit recruiters like Christopher. Without nonstop recruitment, earnings dry up, leaving the majority of participants with losses while the few at the top profit.
This is not entrepreneurship. This is exploitation.
Conclusion
Don’t be fooled by Christopher Porras’s hype videos, “boss” branding, or promises of easy riches. VYB is a modern pyramid scheme designed to enrich early recruiters at the expense of everyday people. Protect yourself. Protect your network. Stay informed and stay away from VYB and those promoting it.
